    dear madame/sir

turkey football match-fixing investigation that rocked the agenda has been completed. the indictment was accepted (09.12.2011) by the court so confidentiality of the investigation has been lifted. since then there has been alarming developments in turkey.

first "violence in sports law no. 6222" which was put into effect on 14.04.2011 was amended on 10.12.2011 by tbmm (parliament). apparently the purpose of this amendment was not to establish the balance of crime and punishment, this amendment was a rescue operation for the criminals.

the second stage of this operation is saving the clubs involved in crime. the report of the turkish football federation's ethics committee concludes match fixing allegations to be authentic and according to article 58, clubs involved in match fixing have to be relegated. if turkish football federation (tff) can amend football disciplinary regulations article 58, the clubs will not be severely punished on charges of match fixing. so, to be able to manipulate the public and amend article 58, tff have joined forces with the biased media, some of the superlig clubs and the culprits to stage a comprehensive pr campaign in this effect.

this final step is another disgraceful attempt against the universal ethics and codes. the disciplinary code and zero tolerance policy of uefa and fifa is clear. the penalties for such crimes that undermine football's spirit and its future should be harsh and applicable to all, as no one is above law. recently enforced in greece, switzerland and italy, these disciplinary measures have to be same for all member countries to ensure a fair football environment.

so now is the time for uefa and fifa to act in order to put a stop to this deliberate, disgusting scenario. we demand this for the good of the game, your actions should signal the world that no one is immune from penalties and such acts will not be tolerated in football."

    dear uefa,

thanks to your point of view, match fixing has literally become a legal act in turkey. we just need you to know that we started to lose our hope about finding a decent establisment we can trust, and we're starting to lose our passion for the game as turkish football fans.

it is sad that the uefa hasn't been capable of taking sincere actions, actions that the actual regulations state, which leads to the unfortunate fact that your side have failed to solve the recent match-fixing issue in turkish football. like we stated before, we will no longer mention the uefa as a trustworthy establishment, and we don't have faith in its justice anymore - unless you do what's right in the upcoming days, which is, punishing the guilty.

    sincerely, turkish football fans

    corrupted football mechanism in turkey

    dear sir,

since the beginning of the match fixing scandal in turkey, we have appealed to you many times . we were trying to warn the world football community that the scandal was being covered-up by the politicians, turkish football federation, clubs that are under investigation and the media.

the report of the turkish football federation's ethics committee concludes match fixing allegations to be authentic and according to article 58, clubs involved in match fixing have to be relegated. turkish football federation (tff) amended football disciplinary regulations article 58, the clubs will not be severely punished on charges of match fixing. they defended to punish only board members but not instituions (clubs).

as you are aware, the court of the match fixing case in turkey announced the verdict regarding the detainees on 2 july 2012 and found several board members of different clubs, players guilty in turkish super league for the 2010-2011 season.

the biggest lie of the decade: "there are many match fixing attempts in turkey but football seems to be clean in the turkish league”. match fixing crimes are officially described in turkey but not punished proportionally by tff. turkish football disciplinary board has no consensus, 2 of members stated that there are serial crimes which need harsher punishment. there is a corrupted football mechanism in turkey. match fixing is legalized by diluting 58th article of disciplinary regulations.

this is disgraceful attempt against the universal ethics and codes. the disciplinary code and zero tolerance policy of uefa and fifa is clear. the penalties for such crimes that undermine football's spirit and its future should be harsh and applicable to all, as no one is above law. recently enforced in greece, switzerland and italy, these disciplinary measures have to be same for all member countries to ensure a fair football environment.

as we had no faith in our country's authorities, we held great expectations that uefa and fifa's "zero tolerance" policy against match fixing and racism would bring us justice and clean football at the end.
if uefa and fifa wants football to prevail, it is time to act immediately. your actions should signal the world that no one is immune from penalties and such acts will not be tolerated in football. but neither uefa nor fifa has acted in any concrete way other than impact-less warnings and announcements. we are disappointed in the inaction of uefa and fifa which is casting a great shadow over the football in the world. if uefa and fifa do not fight against such illegalities, corruption and criminal acts, one day it is going to be too late.

"injustice anywhere is a threat for justice everywhere" - match fixing and anti fair play behaviours have to be punished globally.

you must intervene immediately to protect the soul of the game. let us embrace our football again.

    sincerely,
